Domaine Dou Bernès
About the Winery
Domaine Dou Bernès is a 14-hectare family estate in Aydie, at the crossroads of Hautes-Pyrénées, Pyrénées-Atlantiques, and Gers departments, in the heart of the Madiran and Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh appellations. Four generations of the Cazenave family have tended the vines. Jean-Paul Cazenave continues the work of his predecessors with expertise in blending terroir, grape varieties, vine age, and exposure. The estate includes 10 hectares in Madiran, 3 hectares in Pacherenc Sec and Moelleux, and 1 hectare in Béarn Rose. The domaine offers guided visits by appointment in French, English, and Spanish, with tastings and a remarkable collection of winemaking tools in the barrel cellar.
