Domaine Girin
About the Winery
Domaine Girin was established in 1890 in the Pierres Dorées region of southern Beaujolais. The estate has grown through generations to reach 35 hectares, now managed by the fifth generation: Thibaut Girin (who returned from New Zealand in 2016) and his sister Audrey. They produce Beaujolais wines from Gamay grapes grown on the characteristic golden limestone soils of the region. The domaine is certified HVE Level 3 (Haute Valeur Environnementale) and practices sustainable viticulture with respect for biodiversity. The family prides itself on tradition and conviviality, producing authentic wines from hand-harvested grapes.
“A fifth-generation estate in the Beaujolais Pierres Dorées since 1890, with 35 hectares and HVE Level 3 certification.”
