About the Winery
The Klein family has been established at the foot of the Haut-Koenigsbourg castle since 1620. Conrad Klein founded the estate in 1640, which was expanded by Georges in 1956. Since 1984, Auguste and Véronique Klein have managed the property, and their son Jean has joined after studies in the United States and Russia. The estate holds Haute Valeur Environnementale certification since 2014 and cultivates 12.5 hectares of vines in Saint-Hippolyte, Rorschwihr, and Scherwiller. They produce the full range of Alsace wines including Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Sylvaner, Muscat, Pinot Noir, and Crémant d'Alsace, as well as Grand Cru wines.
