Jean-luc Mouillard
About the Winery
Domaine Jean-Luc Mouillard was established in 1991 by Jean-Luc Mouillard in the Jura region, born from a family of cooperative winegrowers and farmers in Nevy-sur-Seille. The domaine farms 27 acres (11 hectares) of vines in three Jura appellations: Côtes du Jura, L'Étoile, and Château-Chalon. The estate produces approximately 80% white wines, with the majority of vines in the Côtes du Jura appellation for Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Poulsard, and Trousseau. The domaine's beautiful vaulted cellars date from the late 16th century. Jean-Luc farms at around 1,000 feet elevation, and the domaine embarked on organic farming in 2020, becoming certified in 2023. Cellar work is minimal: spontaneous fermentations with no additions except SO2.
“A Jura estate since 1991, producing wines from Côtes du Jura, L'Étoile, and Château-Chalon in vaulted 16th-century cellars.”
