Château Lapuyade
About the Winery
Château Lapuyade (also known as Clos Marie-Louise) is a family estate in the Jurançon region of Southwest France. The Aurisset family manages 8 hectares on steep slopes between the Gave de Pau and Gave d'Oloron rivers. The domaine has been certified organic since 1999 and practices biodynamic viticulture since 2007. During winter, their grass-covered vineyards serve as pasture for sheep. The property produces white wines from the Jurançon appellation, made from Petit Manseng and Gros Manseng grapes, known for their aromatic complexity and aging potential. They also produce Jurançon Sec (dry white wines) and sweet wines from late-harvested grapes affected by noble rot.
“An 8-hectare organic and biodynamic Jurançon estate on steep Pyrenean slopes, producing white wines from Petit Manseng and Gros Manseng.”
