About the Winery

Domaine Sontag is a family winery in the Moselle wine region at Contz-les-Bains, a small village hugging the winding Moselle River near the Luxembourg and German borders. Marie-Antoinette and her husband Gérard relaunched the family winery in 1965. Since 2007, their son Claude has been at the helm, joined in 2020 by his daughter Mélanie. The estate encompasses almost 6 hectares (15 acres) of vineyards on the steep slopes bordering the river. The domaine produces a range of wines including Auxerrois, Müller-Thurgau, Pinot Noir, Riesling, and Gewurztraminer, with several cuvées regularly winning awards at prestigious competitions.
