About the Winery

Domaine de la Roche Moreau is a 28-hectare estate in the Loire Valley, run by the Davy family for five generations. Located on the Corniche Angevine between the Loire and Layon valleys, the domaine is renowned for its sweet wines, particularly Coteaux du Layon and Quarts de Chaume. The historic winery dates from the 17th century and is classified as a heritage site. The aging cellar is uniquely installed in a disused coal mine, where the estate's long-aging wines mature. The domaine specializes in prestigious appellations including Coteaux du Layon 1er Cru Chaume and Quarts de Chaume Grand Cru. They also produce Anjou Blanc, Anjou Rouge, Cabernet d'Anjou, and Crémant de Loire.
