About the Winery
Chantal and Patrice Baratin are vignerons at the Domaine de Bois Dieu in Liergues, in the southern Beaujolais region. Their estate produces wines from the Gamay grape variety, including Beaujolais and Beaujolais-Villages. In 2015, one of their Beaujolais Nouveau cuvées won a gold medal in Japan, demonstrating the quality of their winemaking. The domaine is located in the Pierres Dorées area of Beaujolais, known for its golden limestone soils that give the wines their distinctive character. The Baratin family is dedicated to crafting expressive, fruit-forward Beaujolais wines that showcase the terroir of the southern crus.
“Beaujolais vignerons at Domaine de Bois Dieu, crafting Gamay wines in the Pierres Dorées and exporting internationally.”
