About the Winery

Château Ferrière is a 3rd Growth (Troisième Cru Classé) estate in Margaux, with Claire Villars-Lurton as its owner. The estate covers 21 hectares in the Margaux appellation and has been certified organic since 2015 and biodynamic since 2018. Managed by technical director Adrien Sallet-Darchy, the vineyard is planted with 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Petit Verdot on Garonne gravel soils. The domaine produces wines with remarkable elegance and aging potential characteristic of the Margaux terroir. The estate is part of the Villars-Lurton family's portfolio which includes several classified growths in Bordeaux. Château Ferrière has gained recognition for its commitment to organic and biodynamic viticulture in a prestigious appellation.
