Jean-Jacques Auchère is a vigneron in Sancerre, in the Loire Valley. The estate produces wines from Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, the two principal grape varieties of the Sancerre appellation. The vineyards benefit from the region's distinctive terroir with its 'terres blanches' (white soils with Kimmeridgian marl) and 'caillottes' (limestone gravel) soils, which contribute to the wines' characteristic minerality and finesse. The estate crafts both white and red Sancerre wines in the traditional Loire Valley style.
