Earl domaine hubert Reyser
About the Winery
Domaine Hubert Reyser is an artisan winemaking family at the gates of Strasbourg, welcoming visitors for tastings on the heights of Nordheim. Hubert Reyser bought his first parcel in 1963 at age 14 with his savings. The family farm transitioned from mixed agriculture to viticulture, beginning bottling in the 1980s. Lionel Reyser took over in 2009 and now manages 16 hectares of vines. The domaine is certified organic and HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale). The soils are varied due to the collapse of the Rhine basin, including clay-limestone, clay-silt, and limestone, providing suitable soil for each grape variety. The estate produces AOC Alsace wines, Crémant d'Alsace, Sélection de Grains Nobles, and Vendanges Tardives.
