About the Winery
The Armellin family estate, also known as Château Les Maubats, is a family property in the Entre-deux-Mers region of Bordeaux, established in a hamlet destroyed during the Revolution called Les Malbâtis (which later became Les Maubats). Robert Armelin has managed the estate since 1983. The property includes a historic tobacco drying shed, similar to those found in neighboring Lot-et-Garonne, but is now dedicated to viticulture. The estate produces wines from 27 hectares in AOC Côtes de Bourg and Bordeaux appellations. Robert Armellin works artisanally, favoring manual methods and raising wines of quality and aging potential sold directly from producer to consumer. The estate works with respect for the environment to guarantee a natural, traditional product.
“A family estate in Entre-deux-Mers since 1983, producing artisanal wines from 27 hectares with a focus on manual methods and environmental respect.”
