About the Winery

With 18 hectares of vines, Florent Viale has been making his own wine since 1991, when his father sold his grapes to Maison Guigal. A proponent of natural viticulture, he adopts an approach close to organic farming but without certification. He produces Hermitage and Crozes-Hermitage that are very consistent in quality. The estate owns 12 hectares in the Northern Rhône Valley, including 1.6 hectares in Hermitage with old Syrah vines aged 50-55 years planted on granite hillsides. The Viale family has owned vineyards since the early 20th century. The estate produces 1 Hermitage Rouge, 1 Hermitage Blanc, and several Crozes-Hermitage wines.
