About the Winery

Domaine de l'Abbaye owns 48 hectares of vines in the Chinon appellation of the Loire Valley. It was established by Michel Fontaine and is now managed by the Vidya Agro group. The estate produces traditional French reds from Cabernet Franc in the Chinon AOC, including cuvées like Clos de la Collarderie and Gloria. The wines are characterized by their night harvesting to preserve freshness, woody and fruity profiles with persistent tannins. The domaine is certified HVE Level 3 and follows sustainable viticulture practices.
