Domaine Sarrabelle

1130, rte des Fortis, 81310 Lisle-sur-Tarn, France

About the Winery

Legend has it that the spring near the Château de Montaigut was once the meeting place of the beautiful Yolande. The name comes from the Occitan 'sarro-bello' meaning 'to embrace one's beauty.' This estate has been in the Caussé family for eight generations. Today, Laurent and Fabien Caussé cultivate 50 hectares of vines and create five ranges of wines made in the traditional way. The estate uses amphorae for wine aging, exploiting the natural permeability of baked clay. The 50-hectare estate is located in Lisle-sur-Tarn, about 30 minutes from Toulouse and 15 minutes from Albi. They grow traditional Gaillac varieties including Loin de l'oeil, Mauzac, Muscadelle, Braucol, Duras, and Syrah.

An eight-generation family estate in Lisle-sur-Tarn with 50 hectares, producing traditional Gaillac wines using amphora aging.
