About the Winery
Owned by the Schmidt-Rabe family since 1992, this château is located at the far north-east of the Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence appellation, on the site of an ancient Roman villa. It was the summer residence of the Archbishop of Aix in the 16th century. The estate covers 110 hectares, including 40 hectares of vines at 400 meters altitude on clay-limestone soils. HVE certified, the estate is planted with grape varieties exclusively destined for the AOC: for Rose and red wines, Grenache, Cinsault, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah; for white wines, Sauvignon Blanc, Grenache Blanc, and Rolle.
“A 110-hectare estate with 40 hectares of vines at 400m altitude, on the site of a Roman villa in Provence.”
