About the Winery
James Pelloux acquired this estate in the 1980s. His two sons, Florian and Geoffrey, took over in 2022. The domaine produces two cuvées: a Chénas and a Beaujolais Blanc, from vines certified organic since 1995. Located in the north of Beaujolais near Mâcon, in the Chénas Cru area, the estate's signature cuvée is Chénas 'En Papolet' from a single-plot vineyard around the château. The vines are approximately sixty years old and produce high-quality grapes in harmony with their environment through organic farming. The family has also planted Chardonnay to produce Beaujolais Blanc 'En Pérelles'.
“An organic estate since 1995 in the Chénas Cru area, producing Chénas 'En Papolet' and Beaujolais Blanc from 60-year-old vines.”
