About the Winery
Built in the 13th century by King Edward IV of England, Château de Crain is one of the oldest châteaux in Aquitaine. For five generations, the estate has cultivated 45 hectares of vines on clay-limestone soil in the Entre-Deux-Mers region of Bordeaux. The domaine produces white wines from Entre-Deux-Mers, Bordeaux Rose, and Bordeaux Supérieur, as well as red wines. The wines have won numerous awards and medals over the years. The property was first acquired by the family in 1936 and has been passed down through generations.
