Caveau Cécile des Vignes

About the Winery

Created in 1936, this cooperative cellar brings together 300 winegrowers established in about twenty communes around Sainte-Cécile-les-Vignes, for a total area of 2,000 hectares. The cooperative was originally called Cave des Vignerons Réunis and is now known as Caveau Colombes des Vignes. Located on the Route de Valréas, the cellar produces Côtes du Rhône and Côtes du Rhône Villages wines. Sainte-Cécile-les-Vignes is one of the newest of the 22 Named Villages in the Côtes du Rhône, officially recognized in 2016. The terroir is characterized by Mediterranean climate with Mistral wind influence, clay-limestone soils with pebbles, and produces wines dominated by Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre.
