About the Winery

Representing the third generation of winegrowers, Francis Lagarde settled in 1979 and built his cellar 10 years later. His 44-hectare vineyard is planted on the right bank of the Dordogne, near Sainte-Foy-la-Grande, straddling Bordeaux and the Bergeracois. He produces under several labels for Bordeaux and Southwest appellation wines. The estate's diversity of grape varieties (Merlot, Chardonnay, Syrah) and aging methods, both traditional and in barrels (oak, acacia, oak-acacia) on different colors of wine, allow for a varied range. The domaine also has a smaller part located 4 km away in Gironde, giving different wines with a particular terroir. The majority of the estate is on the Fougueyrolles plateau overlooking the Dordogne valley.
