Earl alain Coche Bizouard
About the Winery
The Coche family has been winemakers in Meursault for several generations. The estate was created in the 1940s by Julien Coche-Debord, then taken over by Alain Coche-Bizouard, his son. It is now run by Fabien Coche (Alain's son), who manages 12 hectares across 40 parcels in Meursault, Auxey-Duresses, Monthelie, Pommard, Saint-Romain, Saint-Aubin and Puligny-Montrachet. 2003 saw the launch of a small négociant business. The estate has been farmed organically since 2017 and applied for certification in 2020, with organic certification from 2023. Fabien makes 27 different wines each year, with 50% exported. He is particularly interested in Aligoté, believing it has a bright future with climate change due to its high acidity.
