Domaine Piguet-Chouet et Fils

16, route de Beaune, 21190 Auxey-Duresses, France

About the Winery

For generations, the Chouet and Piguet families have been growing vines and making wine, some in Meursault, others in Auxey-Duresses. Max Piguet took over the family estate in 1979. In 1981, he married Anne-Marye from Meursault, creating the Piguet-Chouet domaine. Starting from 4 hectares, they now cultivate 12 hectares in the Côte de Beaune across appellations including Meursault, Auxey-Duresses, Monthelie, Pommard, Volnay, Saint-Romain and Savigny-lès-Beaune. Their sons Stéphane and William joined in 2004. Since 2019, Stéphane and Anne-Marye have been in charge. The domaine produces about half white and half red. In 2003, Max launched a small négociant activity to buy grapes from Puligny-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin and Saint-Romain. The 2023 vintage brought multiple gold medals and Guide Hachette stars.

Two historic Burgundy families united in 1981, now cultivating 12 hectares across the Côte de Beaune with multiple award-winning cuvées.
