Domaine Lafond
About the Winery
A flagship of the Tavel and Lirac appellations, also highly regarded for its Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Côtes-du-Rhône wines, this domaine has distant origins dating back to the late 18th century. It has been run by Pascal Lafond since 1990. His vast organic vineyard, certified from 2012, now covers 95 hectares spread across four appellations. The new generation is now taking over with the arrival of his sons Jean-Baptiste (2014) and François (2019), both with BTS viti-œno qualifications and internships abroad. The estate produces the famous Tavel Rose, along with Lirac red, white and Rose, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and Côtes-du-Rhône wines, all expressing the sunny Mediterranean terroir of the southern Rhône.
“A historic estate with 95 organic hectares across four appellations including Tavel and Lirac, now entering its third generation.”
