About the Winery
After working as an executive in a bank for about ten years, Armand Landmann returned to his lands in 1992. He renovated the old house, gathered his father's and aunt's vines, and bought parcels to create a 13-hectare domaine with vines in the Grand Cru Muenchberg. His children Valentin and Margaux are preparing to take over. The property is based in Nothalten, near Barr in the Bas-Rhin. The estate produces the full range of Alsace wines from its diverse terroirs, with particular emphasis on the Grand Cru Muenchberg which gives the Riesling and other varieties exceptional mineral expression.
“A 13-hectare estate with vines in the Grand Cru Muenchberg, created by a banker who returned to his winemaking roots in 1992.”
