About the Winery
Gilbert Beck has been at the head of the family estate since 1978, heir to a lineage dating back to 1763. His house in Dambach-la-Ville backs onto the ramparts of the medieval citadel. He exploits 5 hectares around the commune (including a parcel of Grand Cru Frankstein) and 5 more in the Val de Villé, on the steep slopes of the Albé terraces. The estate produces the full range of Alsace wines from the seven traditional grape varieties, with a focus on expressing the diverse terroirs of the Bas-Rhin region. The Beck family has been deeply rooted in the winemaking traditions of Dambach-la-Ville for over 250 years.
