About the Winery

Jean-Pierre and Julia Gaussen founded the estate in the 1960s, starting from 1 hectare of vines and building the cellar with their own hands. They still run the operation today, now with their daughter Mireille at their side. The 12-hectare vineyard is on clay-limestone soils in the Bandol appellation, producing red, white and Rose wines. The estate is known for its traditional Bandol wines bursting with Mediterranean sunshine and the essence of Provence - wines with a sense of place and character that sing with flavors of black fruits, tapenade and garrigue. The white wines are textured with deep peach and honey notes, the Roses are deep and complex yet refreshing, and the reds age beautifully with a decade in the bottle.
