Gaec domaine Laurens

7 Avenue de la Tour, 12330 Clairvaux-d'Aveyron, France

About the Winery

The Laurens family has been established in the village of Clairvaux-d'Aveyron for several generations in the heart of the Marcillac valley. In 1975, Gilbert Laurens settled on the family property and farmed 1.5 hectares of vines in the appellation area on the steep slopes of Clairvaux. It was in 1983 that Michel Laurens, after studying oenology and gaining experience as a cellar manager for eight years, returned to Clairvaux, teamed up with his brother Gilbert and together they decided to enlarge the vineyard. The estate now covers 25 hectares, producing 100% Fer Servadou-based wines (known locally as Mansois). The property produces AOP Marcillac red, Rose and white wines, as well as IGP Aveyron wines, local aperitifs and spirits. The estate is certified HVE (High Environmental Value) and welcomes visitors for tastings and tours year-round.

A family estate in the Marcillac valley for generations, producing distinctive wines from the indigenous Fer Servadou grape on steep, iron-rich soils.
