Château Beauregard
About the Winery
Château Beauregard is a historic Pomerol estate with a vineyard of approximately 17.5 hectares, making it one of the larger properties in the appellation. The estate produces wines that blend Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon, with recent vintages showing increasing Cabernet Franc influence. Under the direction of Fabienne Teitgen (from Smith Haut Lafitte), the quality has improved significantly since 2016. The estate produces approximately 5,000 cases annually of their flagship wine, plus a second wine called Le Benjamin de Beauregard. They also produce Pavillon Beauregard from 12 hectares in the Lalande de Pomerol appellation. The wines are aged in an average of 65% new French oak barrels for 18-24 months.
“A significant Pomerol estate with 17.5 hectares, producing Merlot-based wines of increasing acclaim.”
