About the Winery

Château Salettes is one of the oldest estates in the Bandol appellation, in the same family (Ricard then Boyer) since 1604 - an extraordinary 17 generations. The estate covers 40 hectares in one continuous piece, surrounded by pine trees, century-old olive trees, and broom. Certified organic since the 2018 vintage, the estate's terraced vines are protected from winter frosts thanks to the nearby Mediterranean Sea. The soil is very dry and stony, mixed with clay, limestone, and crushed rock, making it a unique terroir. Jean-Pierre Boyer currently manages the estate, cultivating 50% Mourvèdre, 19% Grenache noir, 23% Cinsault, 6% Clairette pointue, and small amounts of Vermentino, Carignan, and Syrah. The estate produces red, Rose, and white Bandol wines of exceptional quality and also hosts an annual outdoor concert.

One of Bandol's oldest family estates, continuously owned since 1604, now certified organic.
