Château de Pibarnon
About the Winery
Château de Pibarnon is one of the most prestigious estates in the Bandol appellation of Provence. Purchased in 1978 by Henri and Catherine de Saint Victor, the estate is now managed by their son Éric de Saint Victor. Perched at altitudes reaching 300 meters above sea level, the estate's vineyards form a natural amphitheater overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The soils are unique, containing blue marl and Triassic limestone with fossils that are 150 million years old. The estate is farmed organically and produces benchmark Bandol wines, particularly their flagship red made from 90% Mourvèdre. Their Rose and rare Blanc are also considered among the finest in the appellation. The estate's high-altitude vineyards and proximity to the sea give their wines exceptional freshness and elegance.
“A legendary Bandol estate perched in a Mediterranean amphitheater, crafting benchmark organic wines.”
