Sca château la France
About the Winery
Already well established in the 17th century, this estate was owned until 2009 by an insurance company before being acquired by the Mottet family, Bordeaux shipowners who own some 200 hectares in Gironde. In addition to a vast 79-hectare vineyard in a single block, the estate includes bed and breakfast and a rural gîte in the 19th-century château. The estate produces Bordeaux Supérieur and other Bordeaux wines, combining historic heritage with modern viticulture. The property's single-block vineyard is a rare feature in Bordeaux, allowing for consistent quality and terroir expression.
“A historic Bordeaux estate with a rare 79-hectare single-block vineyard, offering wine tourism accommodation in its 19th-century château.”
