Domaine bernard Scherb et Fils
About the Winery
Winegrowers for 4 generations, the Scherb family took over a family restaurant in 1954, shortly after the inauguration of the Alsace Wine Route, and later added a hotel. They welcome visitors to their cellar in the heart of the picturesque village of Gueberschwihr, south of Colmar. Georges Scherb took over in 2010 and expanded the estate to 17 hectares. The estate is HVE certified and in organic conversion. The family produces wines from all seven Alsatian grape varieties, expressing the diversity of terroirs around Gueberschwihr, including Grand Cru vineyards.
“Four generations of hospitality and winemaking on the Alsace Wine Route, with 17 hectares and growing organic commitment.”
