Château le Fagé

788, rte de Roxane, 24240 Pomport, France

About the Winery

Created in the mid-17th century by Protestant notables from Bergerac, this estate is commanded by a small château in the style of a chartreuse on the north side of Monbazillac. The family began selling wine in bottles as early as 1921. Benoît Gérardin, heir of ten generations, arrived in 2000 and took the reins in 2012 after a career in Bordeaux négoce. He engaged in restructuring the vineyard and renovating the cellars. In 2006, the family also acquired Château Haut-Fongrive at Thénac. Since 2022, both entities share a common cellar at Pomport, totaling 55 hectares. The estate produces wines from Bergerac, Bergerac Sec, Côtes de Bergerac, and Monbazillac appellations.

A historic Bergerac estate with ten generations of heritage, known for its elegant chartreuse and Monbazillac wines.
