About the Winery

Founded in 1860, the Prosper Maufoux wine house is an institution in Santenay, located in the Château de Saint-Aubin on the Route des Grands Crus. The house occupies the historic hôtel particulier built in 1838 for Jacques-Marie Duvault, then sole owner of La Romanée-Conti. In 2010, it was acquired by Éric Piffaut and merged with Maison André Delorme to become the Maison des Grands Crus. In 2020, the house moved to the Château de Saint-Aubin, between Chassagne and Puligny. The 9-hectare estate features exceptional vineyards in the Côte de Beaune including Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru, Meursault 1er Cru, Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru, and Saint-Aubin 1er Cru. The estate practices sustainable viticulture certified HVE3.
