Château henri Bonnaud
About the Winery
Château Henri Bonnaud is a family-run estate situated southeast of Aix-en-Provence, in the heart of the tiny Palette appellation. In 1996, Stéphane Spitzglous took over his grandfather Henri Bonnaud's operation. After major construction works to build a facility combining the cellar, chai, and tasting room, he released his first vintage in 2004 and renamed the estate after his grandfather. The vineyard covers 29 hectares including 14 hectares in the prestigious AOC Palette, with the remainder in AOC Côtes de Provence and AOC Côtes de Provence Sainte-Victoire, plus IGP Méditerranée. The estate has been farmed organically since 2010, with organic winemaking beginning in 2012, driven by Stéphane's deep conviction and passion. The wines are hand-harvested and estate-bottled in limited quantities.
“One of only three producers in the tiny Palette appellation, crafting organic wines at the foot of the iconic Montagne Sainte-Victoire.”
