Earl Françoise et Joël Luneau is a wine estate located in Gorges in the Muscadet Sèvre et Maine appellation of the Loire Valley. The estate produces Muscadet wines from Melon de Bourgogne grapes grown on the metamorphic soils (gneiss, mica schist, and granite) that characterize the Sèvre et Maine region. Muscadet Sèvre et Maine is the most prestigious of the Muscadet appellations, known for wines with crisp acidity, minerality, and the ability to age on lees (sur lie). The Luneau family continues the tradition of quality Muscadet production in this historic Loire appellation.
