Julien Aucagne

100, rue André-Evrard, 69840 Juliénas, France

About the Winery

In the Aucagne family, viticulture is second nature. After training at the Hospices de Beaujeu and Château de Pierreux, Julien decided in 2019 to create his own domaine. The estate now comprises 12.5 hectares (and growing) across the Juliénas, Chénas, Morgon, Beaujolais-Villages, and Crémant-de-Bourgogne appellations. Julien's wines are already garnering praise from critics and enthusiasts for their fruit-driven character and impeccable craftsmanship. With vines aged 60-90 years on steep southern-facing slopes around the lieu-dit of Les Chers, the domaine practices whole-bunch, semi-carbonic maceration with aging in concrete vats, producing wines of remarkable purity and complexity.

A rising star in Beaujolais who created his estate in 2019, now managing 12.5 hectares across Juliénas, Chénas, and Morgon from old vines.
