Sarl jean-paul et loïc Jamet
About the Winery
Jean-Paul Jamet is one of the most celebrated winemakers in Côte-Rôtie, having begun his career in 1976 at age 16, working alongside his father Joseph and neighbor Marius Gentaz. With the 2016 vintage, Jean-Paul celebrated 40 years of growing and vinifying Côte-Rôtie. The domaine now encompasses sixteen (soon nineteen) lieux-dits spread across the best sites of the appellation, giving him unmatched knowledge of how to unlock the greatest expression of Côte-Rôtie. The Jamets have stayed true to tradition: whole-cluster vinification, aging in traditional demi-muids, and meticulous hand-farming of impossibly steep, terraced parcels. Jean-Paul's son Loïc has now joined the estate, ensuring the continuation of this legacy for generations to come.
“One of Côte-Rôtie's most celebrated estates, with nearly 40 years of whole-cluster, traditional winemaking from 16+ lieux-dits across the appellation.”
