Château Lamartine

9, route de Sotoul, 46700 Soturac, France

About the Winery

According to legend, the branches of a century-old oak tree here once sheltered the romantic rendezvous of a beautiful Martine. Château Lamartine is a historic estate with ancient origins (1883), located at the edge of the Lot department in the Cahors appellation. Since 2016, Alain Gayraud's children Lise and Benjamin have taken over, bringing solid international experience. The vineyard covers 37.5 hectares (in organic conversion) with south-facing exposure, producing wines primarily from Malbec (Côt), the signature grape of Cahors. The estate is a pillar of the Cahors appellation and produces structured, age-worthy wines that reflect the unique terroir of the Lot Valley.

A historic Cahors estate founded in 1883 with 37.5 hectares of south-facing vineyards, now managed by the third generation in organic conversion.
