Château de Beaupré
About the Winery
Château de Beaupré is one of the historic vineyards of the Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence, located just 10 minutes from Aix-en-Provence. The bastide was built in 1739 and served as a horse relay station for the Double family, Marseille shipowners, before being converted into a wine estate in 1890 by Baron Émile Double. The estate now covers 43 hectares and has been certified organic since 2013. Phanette Double, an oenologist and agricultural engineer, now manages the estate, producing red wines for aging with powerful red fruit notes, deep and delicate whites, and generous Roses. In 2024, she celebrated 20 years as a winemaker at Beaupré with a new collection of cuvées called 'Façon Phanette.' The estate has been in the Double family since 1855.
“A historic bastide from 1739 and one of the oldest vineyards of Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence, certified organic since 2013 with 43 hectares.”
