About the Winery
Chloé Barthet and her partner Frédéric Almazor, formerly a management controller and financial director in Paris, decided to change their lives. After training in viticulture, they established themselves in 2016 on 5 hectares on the heights of Faugères in the Languedoc. They farm their vineyard organically and focus on direct sales. The Faugères appellation is known for its schist soils that produce distinctive, mineral-driven wines primarily from Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvèdre.
“A career-change story: two Paris professionals who became organic winegrowers in Faugères in 2016, farming 5 hectares of schist terroir.”
