About the Winery

Founded in 1895 by Chrétien Oberlin, a famous ampelographer, the Domaine Viticole de la Ville de Colmar is a historic municipal estate. In 2011, it joined the Grands Chais de France group, which also acquired the Domaine du Moulin de Dusenbach in 1974. Together, these two vineyards cover 50 hectares, including the historic Vignoble des Hospices dating back to 1255, with parcels in eight Grand Crus and three lieux-dits. The estate has been certified organic since 2023. It produces a wide range of Alsace wines including Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, and Crémant d'Alsace, as well as wines from the Hospices de Colmar.
