About the Winery
The Baumann domain and its 15 hectares of vineyards were purchased in 2006 by the Sparr family, wine merchants serving the wine trade since 1634. After this acquisition, the family now has 30 hectares of their own vineyards. The domaine produces wines in the Kaysersberg area of Alsace, with 90% of production exported. The wines are marketed under the Maison Charles Sparr label, continuing a long tradition of Alsatian winemaking excellence that spans nearly four centuries.
“Purchased by the Sparr family in 2006, this 15-hectare estate is now part of a 30-hectare portfolio with wines exported to over 50 countries.”
