François Schwach et Fils
About the Winery
François Schwach et Fils is a family estate founded in 1950 by François Schwach in Hunawihr, one of France's most beautiful villages, in the heart of the Alsace Wine Route. Today, Sébastien Schwach manages approximately 20 hectares of vines spread across seven towns and including four Grand Cru vineyards: Osterberg, Schoenenbourg, Rosacker, and Kaefferkopf. The estate is a specialist in Crémant d'Alsace, producing a range of five extra brut Crémants by the traditional method, which are regularly awarded and medalists. The estate is currently in organic conversion, demonstrating a commitment to sustainable viticulture. Their winemaking blends tradition and modernity with careful grape handling and pneumatic pressing to preserve aromatic qualities.
“A three-generation family estate in Hunawihr with 20 hectares across four Grand Crus, specializing in Crémant d'Alsace.”
