About the Winery
Jean-Marc Simonis is the heir to a line of winegrowers dating back to 1660 in Ammerschwihr, Alsace. He has managed the family estate since 1993, producing the full range of Alsace grape varieties including Crémant d'Alsace, Alsace Grand Cru Kaefferkopf wines, and late harvest selections. The estate is particularly renowned for its Grand Cru Kaefferkopf wines, one of Alsace's most prestigious terroirs. Certified HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale), the domaine practices sustainable viticulture. The estate is open Monday to Saturday and offers tastings, cellar visits, and vineyard tours. The Simonis family is committed to the independent winegrowers' charter, offering personalized and warm hospitality.
