About the Winery

Marquis de Pomereuil is one of the oldest cooperatives in Champagne, founded in 1922 by 14 winegrowers in the village of Les Riceys in the Aube department. Before 1927, it produced still wines including the famous Rose des Riceys. The cooperative now has 55 members cultivating 95 hectares. The Marquis de Pomereuil brand was launched in 1980. The wines are crafted from Pinot Noir, the dominant grape in the Côte des Bar, along with Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier. In 2022, the cellar joined the Union Auboise Vignerons en Champagne. The cooperative produces several ranges including Reflets, Fleurs de Côtes, and prestigious Terroir Wines including the renowned Rose des Riceys. The cooperative emphasizes sustainable viticulture and received a new graphic identity in 2025.
