About the Winery
Château la Ressaudie is a historic estate on the banks of the Dordogne River in the Montravel appellation. Founded in 1890, the property remained in the Rebeyrolle family for five generations until its sale in January 2020 to Frank and Marie Magiera, originally from the United States. Frank Magiera, after an international industrial career, discovered a passion for wine and completely changed his life, leaving Los Angeles to take over this 35-hectare estate with 14 hectares of vines. The property is a beautiful architectural ensemble set on the coteaux of the Dordogne, producing wines in the Montravel, Côtes de Bergerac, and Bergerac appellations.
“A historic estate founded in 1890 in Montravel, now owned by American Frank Magiera who left Los Angeles to pursue his passion for wine.”
