Vignoble albert et jean-françois Klée

13, Grand-Rue, 68230 Katzenthal, France

About the Winery

The Klée family has been cultivating vines in Katzenthal, a small village nestled in a valley near Colmar in Alsace, since 1624 when Urbain Klée first planted vineyards here. The estate is now managed by Albert Klée and his son Jean-François, an agronomic engineer and oenologist who previously served as technical director at Château Léoville Las Cases in Bordeaux. Their 5.5-hectare property includes parcels in two prestigious Grand Cru vineyards: Wineck-Schlossberg and Kaefferkopf. Certified HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale) since 2018, the domaine produces a full range of Alsace varietals including Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, Muscat, and Pinot Noir, as well as original cuvées that reflect their unique terroirs.

An Alsatian family estate since 1624, with vineyards in two Grand Crus (Wineck-Schlossberg and Kaefferkopf), now managed by Jean-François Klée.
