Domaine de Chevillard
About the Winery
Domaine de Chevillard is a young estate founded in 2016 in the Combe de Savoie, in the heart of the French Alps at 350 meters altitude. Matthieu Goury, a native of Savoie and an advocate of minimal-intervention winemaking, organically farms 9.5 hectares of vines planted on the beautiful terroirs of the Combe de Savoie. The domaine produces wines from native grape varieties including Gamay and Mondeuse for reds, working with very traditional and low-intervention methods. Grapes are hand-harvested, fermented with indigenous yeasts, and aged in used French oak barrels. The estate is known for producing wines of great purity and expression that reflect the unique alpine terroir.
