Domaine Pichat
About the Winery
Domaine Pichat is a family-owned winery in the heart of Côte-Rôtie in the Northern Rhône Valley. Founded in 2000 by Stéphane Pichat, who returned to his ancestral lands after studies in Beaune and experience in the United States and Bordeaux, the domaine has established itself as one of the leading producers in the appellation. The estate spans 7 hectares across three emblematic Côte-Rôtie crus: Champon's, Löss, and Les Grandes Places, as well as holdings in Condrieu. Stéphane Pichat produces wines of impeccable quality from Syrah and Viognier grapes, with annual production of approximately 30,000 bottles. The domaine practices sustainable viticulture, carefully adapting methods to each plot's unique slope, exposure, soil, and vintage conditions. The name Pichat carries a long-standing tradition symbolized by grapes, pears, and radishes on the family coat of arms, representing the original produce meticulously cultivated by forebears.
“From the terroir to the vintage, a story of passion. Domaine Pichat produces exceptional Côte-Rôtie wines from 7 hectares of prime vineyards in the Northern Rhône Valley.”
